Halifax artist Suzanne Gauthier will be presenting her work and will be specifically addressing the meaning of scale in her art. Suzanne, who is a practicing artist and faculty member of NSCAD University, has developed a body of work that has received nationwide recognition. She is particularly known for her large-scale works that incorporate a variety of media and deal with the human impact on landscape:

The large paintings focus on the use of a variety of materials, juxtapositions of fabric, encaustic, metal, wood, plastic and acrylic paint. The diversity of these materials, which are commonly used in fine art as well as in industry, evoke the romanticism of the landscape while warning of its gradual demise.
