The Canning Kitchen Party is teaming up with the Deep Roots Music Festival to bring you an incredible line-up of Maritime music. Featuring: Melgita't Women drum group; new Canadian Cristian Quirivan playing music from Chile and the Andes mountains; the Big Turnips collective with Dylan Jewers singing a cappella sea shanties and ballads and Tyler Messick singing from the Helen Creighton archives; Gaelic songs and originals by Cape Bretoner Robyn Carrigan; and Celtic, Acadian and more great tunes with Mary Beth Carty, coming from Antigonish. There will be a jam session after the concert, and Huntley's Village sausage cart will be on-site with great food and cold drinks. Come celebrate Canning and awesome Nova Scotian music with us!
