Colleen Belle, the Coordinator of Welcoming Communities at ISANS, will be sharing on Building intercultural Competence: Creating Welcoming and inclusive Workplace Environments. In this 1-hour presentation, you will discover the value which Newcomers to Canada and people of diverse backgrounds bring to workplaces, raise your awareness about the impacts of cultural differences, and understand challenges and identify systemic barriers which hinder them from maximizing their potential. You will explore strategies which you can employ to help workers bring their ‘authentic self’ to work, and clients feel appreciated. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
