The first live show at King’s Theatre happened 100 years ago this weekend, and we are celebrating with something very special! Anyone who has ever volunteered at King’s Theatre, be it on the Board, as a House Volunteer, or any other capacity, is invited to contact us to get your free tickets to what promises to be an unforgettable concert.
A powerhouse on the stage and in the studio, Reeny Smith is a songwriter, musician and producer, who delivers magic every time she hits the stage. Her extraordinary vocals, confident presence and energetic live show make for a truly unforgettable, entertainment experience. She has always been inspired and nurtured by her family and friends growing up in North Preston, singing and playing in church choirs and celebrating important family occasions with music.
Hailing from North Preston, The Sanctified Brothers (formerly known as the Deep River Boys) have quickly established themselves as one of the best gospel music groups in Canada. They have performed with the Gospelheirs, the Hallelujah Praise Choir and the late Rita MacNeil.
The Sanctified Brothers group is comprised of Reeny’s father Wallace Smith Senior, Wallace Smith Junior, Danna Wills, Mike Smith, Marlowe Smith, Shawn Downey and JR Smith. Together, they are shaking up the perceptions of gospel music with fresh twists on classics, which they infuse with elements of blues, funk and rock.
Quote from Wallace Smith, “It’s awesome, because it’s gospel music, but it’s not your traditional gospel music. Sometimes we’ll do a traditional song, but we always try to add some variety to it. There’s never a dull moment.”
