It promises to be an extraordinary evening: live music and art and craft demonstrations along with raffles and both silent and live auctions. The Annapolis Region Community Arts Council’s Going Once…Going Twice, has volunteers gearing up for a fun-filled evening of entertainment and unique auction items.
Donors have offered everything from a Chester Sailboat Cruise to a dessert party for 20 served at the Hillsdale House. For those who are eager to learn or enhance skills, we have lessons ranging from music to art to photography to breadmaking to Ukrainian Egg Decorating to graphic design. If you want to be pampered, we have gourmet dinners, overnights, and brunches at local B&Bs, delicious meals at local restaurants, and massages. Like adventures? In addition to the sailboat cruise, we have a Kedgie Lake canoeing adventure with an outdoor specialist and a barbeque/deck party with games and canoeing for up to 16. We have decadent desserts, flowers and vegetables from special gardens, beautiful jewellery, and silverware cleaning for a service of 12. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”
The evening is not all about the auction, though. There will be entertainment, food and drink. Mark Tower will entertain with saxophone, and Clayton Murray with classical guitar. There will be demonstrations of quilting, rug hooking, basket-making, knitting and art. The admission cost includes a bar beverage and appetizers.
