An intimate acoustic performance - two time Grammy Nominated Nova Scotian. UK-based songwriter, artist and musician.

Born and raised in Canning, Nova Scotia, Laura Roy is an independent artist, producer and songwriter, blending her love for classic 70’s folk and 90’s R&B vocals to create a unique soulful sound. A graduate of the NSCC Music Arts program and 4-year participant of the Gordie Sampson Songwriting Camp, Laura has released several artist projects and collaborations, showcasing her multifaceted vocal range and eclectic songwriting styles. Her 2018 EP titled “Forte” won “Best R&B/Soul Recording of the Year” at the 2020 East Coast Music Awards. In 2021, Laura teamed up with Grammy Nominated artists Lianne La Havas, and multi-instrumentalist and producer Geo Jordan to create her 2021 “Tides” EP, an ode to Laura’s upbringing in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. Laura is currently based in London, UK and has worked for pop heavy hitters, Camila Cabello, Anne Marie, Mae Muller as a vocalist and has gained two Grammy nominations as a contributing songwriter on Doja Cat’s 2021 “Planet Her” Album. Her most recent 2023 “Odyssey” EP released has gained support from CBC and BBC radio as well as Spotify Editorial Playlists, SOCAN Song of the Week, DMY Mag and more, establishing Laura as a rising voice in the alternative R&B space.
