Event in Room: Studio (upstairs)

A workshop to learn simple basketry techniques to create small vessels/objects using cast-off materials from everyday life.

Participants are asked to bring in post-consumer materials such as old clothing, recycling items, plastic bags or whatever they have on hand and are inspired to work with.

I hope this workshop will spark exploration, collaboration and creativity; this is an opportunity to re-use discarded materials and transform them into objects.

Please come with a sense of play and discovery. Let’s share some tea, some snacks and create together!

Sandra will provide tea and complementary materials to work with. If you feel inclined, please bring a snack to share.

This workshop is presented as part of the exhibition Wrought / Sandra Smirle, at ARTSPLACE (Annapolis Royal) February 3 - March 30.

Free to attend, donations welcome at the door.
