Wendy Stubbert, Registered Counsellor specializing in trauma recovery, and Krissy Keech, instructor with Acadia School of Music, would like to invite you to join them the evening of Friday March 8th and Saturday, March 9th for a fun exploration of Body Percussion in the Horton Community Hall, Annapolis Valley.
What is Body Percussion you ask? We’re glad you asked. Body percussion is a fun, rhythmic use of sounds and motion that are used to co-create music. It is a series of snaps, clicks, stomps, taps, and use of our breath. In trauma work, body percussion is an effective way to bring relief, healing and resolution to the memories and stories we hold onto from our trauma. Through movement, breath, rhythm and laughter, stress, anxiety and trauma exposure can be relieved and to our body’s nervous system reset. Participants in this fun 2 day retreat will take home skills and strategies to use on an everyday basis for themselves, and their family.
For details or to register, please phone or text Wendy Stubbert at 902.670.0929 to request a registration form. Registration deadline is March 5th.
