A Drama by Mick Gordon & A.C. Grayling
Directed by Stewart Arnott
Starring Shelley Thompson, Anthony Black, Genevieve Steele & Ed Thomason
Grace, a professor of Natural Science and something of a celebrity because of her strongly argued atheism is thrown into professional and personal turmoil when her son, Tom, gives up his profession as a lawyer to become a priest. The situation escalates violently after Tom's murder by an Islamic fundamentalist suicide bomber. Tom's girlfriend, Ruth, who is carrying his child, has to explain to Grace that Tom wanted a religious funeral. This fascinating family drama explores timely social and moral issues as Grace articulates her grief and outrage while coping with her own sense of personal failure.
