GOAL (Girls’ Outdoor Adventure and Leadership) is a weekly recreation program created to support female-identifying youth in building healthy connections to nature, themselves and community. It’s an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun in the outdoors. Geared at teens ages 13-16.

Saturday afternoons: January 29nd – March 19th (8 weeks) from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Kentville Parks & Trails

GOAL is based on the values of equity and inclusion, openness and acceptance, social connections, environmental stewardship, nature awareness, community contributions and fun.

Our experienced facilitators will help foster comfort with the natural world by implementing a variety of outdoor activities and skill building opportunities. It is our hope that each youth further develops their connection to nature, to self and to others in the program. We strive to create an atmosphere where fun, community, learning, growth, and connection can all coexist. Our program will provide each participant with regular contact with one another and with our caring adult leaders, as well as equip each youth with a mental wellness toolkit to empower them beyond the weekly sessions. We hope to inspire the development of new hobbies and interests, and to instill a deep love for nature, including a sense of care for the earth, for self, and for others.

No experience required. Transportation support available. Snacks provided.
