Behrooz Mihankhah is an Iranian Canadian composer, pianist, and singer-songwriter based in Halifax. Behrooz fuses various musical traditions, compositional techniques, and improvisational schools of thought and brings together listeners of various backgrounds. Performing mostly original music, he has toured internationally throughout New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Rajasthan, Mumbai, and locally throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
His most recent project, a full-length debut jazz album “Lydium”, includes his original compositions and arrangments of several jazz classics, and classical compositions with a blend of both western and Iranian instruments.
Ali Enriquez is a Cuban-Canadian multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. Her genres range from deep classical roots to jazz, latin, R&B, pop and fusion. She’s played in stages around Canada, Cuba and Italy. With over fifteen years of classical training on the violin under her wing, she then studied music at Dalhousie University and is currently pursuing a popular music diploma at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC).
