Queen Kong is an exciting exploration of sound inspired by the Radical Jewish Culture movement in New York, founded by the visionary John Zorn. Led by Toronto drummer, vocalist, and composer Lorie Wolf, the ensemble seamlessly blends Ashkenazi Jewish musical traditions with jazz, free improvisation, rock, and punk to create something bold, energetic, and completely unique.
Featuring some of Toronto’s finest young jazz and world music performers, improvisers, and creative artists, Queen Kong promises an unforgettable evening of adventurous and exhilarating music.
