The Romance of Old Annapolis Royal Book Launch
The public is invited to Annapolis Royal to join the town’s Historical Association for a performance celebrating the release of The Romance of Old Annapolis Royal during Natal Days festivities on Saturday, August 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hillsdale House Inn.
Local artists and historians, Corinne Frantel and Ernest J. Dick, will present a piece that brings to life the author, Charlotte Perkins.
'Perkins' will be responding to the special introduction added to this sixth edition. Written by Dr. Esmeralda Thornhill, professor of Law at Dalhousie, the introduction addresses the difficulties faced when republishing historical documents which contain baises or beliefs no longer held today.
Local historian Ernest J. Dick will also be speaking to some of the historical gems he's uncovered while working with the book.
