Axe Radio proudly presents the second of a series of shows in 2012/2013:

The buzz around young Nova Scotia native Mo Kenney has been building over the last couple of years. Mo Kenney comes out on the prestigious Toronto label Pheromone Recordings in partnership with Joel Plaskett’s imprint, New Scotland Records. Fitting her sound into a neat box is an exercise in futility, though, if pressed, Mo can settle for pop music with a folky twist.

Quiet Parade

http://quietparade.bandcamp.com/
Mixing elements of pop-rock songwriting with unabashed lyrics, Quiet Parade's bleeding-heart alt-folk music channels bands such as Low, Hayden and Sun Kil Moon as well as the influence of artists/producers such as Elliot Smith and Phil Spector alike. Recorded in a cabin on a lake in Yarmouth County over five days last summer with producer Daniel Ledwell (In-Flight Safety, Jenn Grant, Share), Quiet Parade's new album, Please Come Home (We Hate It Here Without You) is a very stripped down and heartfelt effort.
----------------------------
The Roommates
Wolfville's sweethearts and Paddy's Pub Open Mic Night favourites are bound to impress you with their toe tapping selection of tunes. Be prepared to want to sing along to every song.
