Our Schedule:
9:30 am to 5:00 pm – Open to the public
10:00-12:00pm – Workshops
• Charles & Cindy Andrews from Manzer Apiary will present a two hour workshop on honey extraction from the Top Bar Hive -- at no additional charge.
• Additional presentations:
- The Importance of Honeybees
- Our other Pollinators
- How to Know if Your Honey is Real
12:00 to 1:00pm – Lunch and visiting vendors
• Lunch plates will be available for a small additional fee. The meal will be catered by the Community Kitchen of foods that would no longer be available if we lose our pollinators.
1:30-3:30pm – Viewing of the award winning documentary "Vanishing of the Bees"
Followed by a Panel Discussion: What is the state of bees and colony collapse disorder ten years later? Are we making any progress? What needs to be done? How can the general public help?
