We are hosting a Coffee House fundraiser at the Half Acre Café, on behalf of S.O.A.R. (Survivors Of Abuse Recovering).
S.O.A.R. is a registered, non-profit, charitable society in the Province of Nova Scotia whose mandate is to provide peer counselling and support services to adults (both female and male) impacted by childhood sexual abuse and to provide public education about the effects of childhood sexual abuse. The activities of the society are carried out in Nova Scotia.
This year is S.O.A.R.'s 25th anniversary, and we have been asked to organize a fundraiser event. S.O.A.R. has invited the renowned therapist and speaker Mike Lew, to provide a workshop planned for June 22-23, 2018. The proceeds from our fundraiser will go towards any expenses needed for Mike Lew's workshop.
