The Dandelion secures loans for people in our community to assist entrepreneurs with an idea or help further an existing business. The loan amounts are between $2000 - $5000. These loans are made available to individuals who are not able to get a loan at a conventional bank. The loans are available for projects in or near our community to support small businesses, agriculture and the arts. Mentoring is available to our clients and it is there to assure that the loan and the project come to a successful conclusion.
We cordially invite you to our next meeting, where we are looking for community minded individuals to help in the workings of The Dandelion. We are looking for individuals that have the time and expertise in supporting The Dandelion in endeavouring to make a Social Impact.
Here are some of the expertise we are looking for:
Writing Articles that can be used in The Grapevine, Advertiser, Facebook and public media in general
Design a pamphlet
Develop a video of past clients
Gather testimonials
Set up a new Website for the TDCIC
Twitter account
Booth at the Wolfville Farmers Market
Presentation to the Newcomers Club
Connect with local organizations that might benefit from TDCIC
Research the Equity Tax Credit
It is time to Refresh The Dandelion and see how we can make a positive Social Impact in our community.
