Part of the Canning Kitchen Party on-going summer series, every Saturday at different spaces around Canning. This week the beautiful Farmhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast is our outdoor venue, and the ArtCan Gallery & Cafe is the bad-weather backup.

The Gilberts are a sibling band featuring haunting three part harmonies, soulful lyrics and folk roots. Singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists with two members in their teens and the third just past the big 20 they have made a fast impression on the music scene in Nova Scotia. They are veterans of the Deep Roots Festival in Wolfville, The Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival and The Full Circle Festival at Newport, and a bunch of other gigs with more to come. Frieden, Reuben and Maisie are busy working on a debut album to be released Summer 2019.

This week will be hosted by another sibling band, The Dearlies, featuring Meagan and Jenny Osburn and sister-from-another-mother Rebecca MacDonald, with Kim Barlow on banjo, Peter Williams on bass, and Sarah McInnis on fiddle when they're lucky!
