Nova Scotia Rising is a 2 day event.
Our mission is to spread awareness and put an end to all violence against women, men, and youth!
Over the two days, our goal is to inspire and empower! We will have workshops regarding healthy relationships, body image & and mental health, and consent and safety. On day 2 we will have special guest speaker Elsie Morden provide an inspirational talk with a Q&A session followed by a performance of the One Billion Rising Dance.
Nova Scotia Rising is in support of the One Billion Rising worldwide movement that has been promoted by celebrities and artists such as Pink, Jane Fonda, Robert Redford, Anne Hathaway, and many others.
We encourage you to RISE with us as we examine and discuss important issues facing women, youth, and men.
