Join Laura Churchill Duke on Saturday, Oct. 19 on a guided hike to the setting of her upcoming novel, Two Crows Sorrow.
Theresa McAuley Robinson lived and died on the North Mountain in the community of Burlington at the turn of the century. She and her family had over 200 acres of farmland that has been since donated to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust. Churchill Duke will take you on a guided tour of these farmlands, pointing out important landmarks featured in her creative non-fiction novel.
This hike is 6km return on an abandoned road, however, terrain is wet and uneven and sturdy walking shoes are recommended. The guided hike will take approximately 3 hours and will include stops along the route for readings and stories by the author.
Meet at the Vance Balsor Memorial Park at the junction of Brow of Mountain and Long Point Roads in Viewmount at 1 pm on Saturday, Oct 19 at 1pm. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 20.

Two Crows Sorrow may be available for purchase following the hike.
