Please join us for this free Lunchtime Learning session presented by Acadia Lifelong Learning.

As the designer of 25 commemorative and definitive postage stamps, Steven Slipp will illustrate the process of creating these miniature works of art that are also Canadian currency. An art director and design manager of many philatelic issues, he also served for two terms on the Stamp Advisory Committee, responsible for subject programming and design selection. This illustrated slide talk will look behind the scenes at stamp's progress from Subject research through design concept selection to the preparation of final digital files for stamp printing. Physical samples of stamps and related collector collateral will also be available to view.

Steven Slipp is a design specialist in wayfinding signage systems, interpretive exhibits, and postage design. He is senior designer at Steven Slipp Design Inc. in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
