With Dalhousie Legal Aid Service and the Women's Place Resource Centre in Kingston

Those who support others in our community, professionals and volunteers, are welcome.

Dalhousie Legal Aid Service’s Eviction Prevention Program welcomes all service providers to attend a workshop on Tenants’ Rights and Navigating Evictions. This workshop and facilitated discussion will go into depth on topics such as types of legal and illegal evictions, challenging an eviction, renovictions, procedures at the Residential Tenancies Board and the Small Claims Court, and tenant’s rights and obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act. We want to hear from community service providers about the common tenancy issues faced by the communities you serve. As the housing crisis continues to expand, it is important for us to strengthen networks and share knowledge!

This event will be followed by a Q&A Session for the public.
