Bernie's Buddies helps kids and youth live more fully after a death loss.
We are hosting a March Break kids' grief support event in Windsor, NS, in collaboration with SchoolsPlus.
Youth ages 10 to 12 who are navigating big feelings due to the death of an important person in their lives are invited to join us, where we'll create a special grief project together.
Our focus will be on navigating bereavement emotions while creating a sense of community with curiousity about and respect for each other’s experiences.
A resource sheet will also be available for parents/caregivers that includes a list of suggested websites with grief activities and tips that can be used at home or by a caring person in the child's life.
Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay and observe our session, connect with each other, or take this time for themselves (some ideas include enjoying a coffee nearby or a walk around the causeway, Fort Edward, or Clifton Museum Park).
Thanks to generous donors and community supporters, this event is available at no cost to participants and families.
Registration is required by Wednesday March 5 - spaces are limited!
