Literary Lecture / Seminar Community
Laura Churchill Duke's latest book looks at issues of race, prejudice, the role and responsibility of the media, and what it means to be a 'stranger' when an outsider is charged with murder. Using primary sources including newspaper articles, and trial transcripts, the true story of the killing of Annie Kempton is told using creative fiction to fill in the gaps of the narrative. The event is sponsored by the Wolfville Historical Society.
