All are welcome to join us in the Avon Spirit Shipyard for the annual general meeting for the Avon River Heritage Society. Together we will catch-up on the ongoing activities taking place at the Avon River Heritage Centre and in the Avon Spirit Shipyard.
A few highlights of the past year include playing host to 50 Thibodeau descents, an impressive turnout for the Honey Harvest Festival, and the valuable feedback we received during our Tides of Change "Think Tank" sessions, the results of which are helping to shape our plans as we set our goals for the next 5 years.
We are always looking to add new members to our various volunteer teams as it takes a multitude of interests and skill sets to accomplish all the work that we do here at the centre. We are currently looking for those able to devote some of their spare time helping out with things like programming & events, communication & marketing, interpretation & research, fundraising & donations, maintenance, and we are especially looking for someone to take the reins when it comes to coordinating volunteers.
