I'll be opening up my studio once again this year for the Made on the Mountain Studio Tour. Each year I invite fellow printmakers to join me, and this time it will be my collaborators, printmakers and visual artists Sheri Jean Hancock, Sydney Lancaster, and Bonnie Baker.
Drop in and see how I take knitted lace swatches and shawls and prints them on paper, creating large scale imprints of pattern and texture! There will be local snacks, printmaking and alternative photography demonstrations, and hands on activities, and the chance to see my recent knit prints, and the beautiful work of my printmaking friends Sheri, Bonnie and Syd!
Start your tour at the West Brooklyn Community Hall to grab your map, and one of their delicious lunch options. You’ll find foodartnature experience host Cindy Oulton of The Great Canadian Luffa Experience there too. Then head out to check out Susan Davar Pottery up the hill from the hall, and Heavy Metal Heather just down the hill from my studio.
