Ready to lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails with pride? We invite you to join us for a special outdoor experience.

Pride Hiking is exclusively tailored for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Monthly hikes are around the Annapolis Valley. The July hike is heading to Crystal Falls on South Mountain in western Kings County. Register so you can be in the know about this and upcoming hikes.

Come as you are and let's explore together!

On August 16, our hike will include a visit to Black Hole Brook Falls, followed by a visit to Caroline Beach, where folx may choose to swim or rest together. The total hiking distance is only about 3km, but it spans an elevation range of about 100 meters and includes many scenic views and opportunities to interact with the land. The portion of the hike near Black Hole Falls is moderately difficult, with uneven terrain and a steep rope-assisted trail descending to the base of the waterfalls; participants may choose to stay at the top of the falls if they feel uncomfortable with that descent (and the subsequent effort of climbing back up it!). The remainder of the hike down to Caroline Beach is relatively easy. Parking is limited to a small gravel area at the intersection of Old Baxter Mill Road and Deep Hole Road, although the roads are lightly travelled and parking along the shoulder will be safe. Cell service at the trailhead is poor, but available; cell reception is unavailable through much of the hike.
