On Saturday, May 30, Annapolis County Recreation is excited to bring you a day of fun for everyone to kick off National AccessAbility Week at the Bridgetown Regional Community School. There will be games, sport and equipment demonstrations, food, prizes, and entertainment, with an emphasis on accessibility, active living, and inclusion.

A ceremonial flag-raising will start the afternoon. There will be displays and posters to see, hear, and touch; games and equipment to try; and skills to learn.

In the gym, there will be a game of wheelchair basketball, followed by possibly a game of goalball. Whether these sports are new to you or not, support the players and the games! Afterward, leaders will be on hand so you can give them a try yourself! Outside, there will be demonstrations and try-it sessions for track and field, tennis, and pickleball. Lawn games, indoor boccia, and sensory activities will be there to try.

Meet local activity leaders, find out about available resources and support, and learn about the many ways that everybody can be active in Annapolis County!
