"Call of a Distant Shore" by Corinne Hoebers. The book is an historical fiction based on the German immigration to Nova Scotia in 1751 where the Heber family settled in Dartmouth for two years. They then followed a large influx of German and Swiss protestants to Lunenburg where they were one of the first settlers to found this town in 1753. The Heber family is fictional but is based on the Hirtle's trials in the New Land.
