The purpose of this car wash is to raise funds to support Firefighter Janet Fairclough and her husband George Kennedy who is a veteran member of the fire department. Janet & George’s youngest child Andrew was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and is undergoing treatment in Halifax, as such the family is required to make frequent extended trips to Halifax. Andrew is also the Grandson of firefighter Clem Fairclough who has been a member of the department for over 50 years and the nephew of firefighter Ian Fairclough. The department is attempting through this benefit to raise funds to ease the financial strain on the family as they cope with this trying situation.
