Musique Royale brings its second concert to the area this summer. Ensemble Caprice is a small, internationally known group, presenting innovative interpretations of baroque music. For 20 years it has toured regularly in Canada, the US and Europe, taking part in music festivals, and playing in venues such as the Library of Congress in Washington. The New York Times has described it as "imaginative, even powerful," and the playing as "top-flight." Ensemble Caprice is under the direction of flute and recorder player Matthias Maute, co-director Sophie Larivière, and includes baroque guitarist David Jacques.
