Join us for a full day introduction to the South Asian tradition of miniature painting. The workshop will begin with an overview of the history of this medium, outlining the different traditional styles and schools, and contextualizing contemporary practices. Exhibiting artist, Tazeen Qayyum will demonstrate and teach various traditional techniques that she uses in her contemporary art practice. Participants will receive a goody bag of materials and handouts to continue developing their skills at home. Participants will also receive a catered lunch provided by Ross Creek Centre for the Arts.
