June 8th – July 7th Beloved. Be loved. Definition: (noun) dearly loved; dear to the heart.
Melissa began creating owls, inspired by the wisdom, focus, determination and insight they symbolically and intuitively represent to her. She loves this about them. The introduction of farm animals to this current body of work developed naturally - stirred by the Valley landscape and happy childhood reminiscence of Alberta. The work respectfully and playfully gives evidence to an identity rooted in love from which she is able to express herself wholly and authentically.
