The ancestors of the Mi'kmaq have lived here for thousands of years. Storytelling was and still is a very important part of our culture, traditions, and heritage. Many of these stories explain geographical features, patterns in nature, and why things are how they are. Come join us for a sharing circle, where you will have an opportunity to hear some local stories, learn about sacred medicines, and the talking stick. Each participant will have an opportunity to make a talking stick of their own unique design to take home.
This workshop will involve the use of acrylic paints, so please dress accordingly.
