The last Fundy Folk Night for 2013 is coming up and it is going to be a great one!
On the line up for the evening will be finger style guitar picker Bob Ardern. (www.bobardern.ca ) Bob says his music "makes you think and touches nerves" One reviewer said he had to check Bob's photo to make sure he only had two hands!
Lynnea Rose (www.Lynnearose.com ), originally from Annapolis Royal, is making a name for herself with her debut album, and her single "Cinderella" is hitting the airwaves across the country. Hear her perform her "celtic-infused folk songs with a pinch of pop and country" now, before she hits the big time! Accompanied by Anna Wedlock on fiddle.
And for something completely different, get ready for the sketch comedy of the Dead Sheep Scrolls. (www.deadsheepscrolls.com ) If you go to their website, the first thing you will see is "Shut up. We do this for ourselves." Maybe so, but we can all get a good laugh while they're at it!
Also debuting at Fundy Folk is Wine Hardt-Django Uncorked, a new acoustic-jazz project based out of Wolfville that brings together five musicians with a shared passion for fine red wine and gypsy jazz.
