Meet in the parking lot.

Pre-register online until June 25, 2014 at 9:00pm or on race day from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Beginner Instruction:  For those new to the sport of orienteering, brief instruction on the use of map and compass will be provided at 11:45am.  

Staggered starts begin at 1:00 pm.  A start list will be posted by 9:00pm on June 27, 2014 on the OANS website (see below); participants registering on race day will be provided start times at registration.

Point-to-point.  A traditional sprint course, where all controls are visited in numerical order.  This is a Canada Cup Event, meaning the event will have a full range of age classes and courses available.

Hilly terrain with numerous buildings.  Some forest, but mostly open grassed lawns and paved or gravel paths to run on.

Dick James was a founding member of the Orienteering Association of Nova Scotia and a past Board member of Canadian Orienteering (now Orienteering Canada).  His passion for Orienteering was reflected in the thousands of hours he devoted to growing the sport over the years.  Proceeds from this event will allow a donation to be made in Dick's name to Orienteering Canada's Junior Development Program.

As this meet is a fundraiser for junior development, all junior (<19) entries are free.
Adults: $15 pre-registered; $20 race day
Family/Wayfarer Group: $20 pre-registered; $25 race day
