The Clean Annapolis River Project (CARP) is organizing this family friendly event featuring activities, games and crafts that highlight natural heritage and our local ecology.

•Hands-on benthic invertebrate sampling- Discover the critters you never knew were living in our lakes and streams, and what they can tell us about water quality.
•Fishing sampling demonstrations. Our field staff will conduct sampling to see what we can find in Sandy Bottom Lake.
•Wildlife pelt and skull display and trivia. Show off your knowledge of local wildlife species, or learn a few new things.
• Help construct turtle nesting covers for our wood turtle conservation project
•Plant some milkweed seeds to take home and grow into monarch butterfly habitat.
•Crafts
•Games and scavenger hunt with prizes
•Bring your bathing suit so you can go for a swim at the beach.
