Children, parents, teachers and grandparents can learn about the children’s book (written for children in grades Primary to 3) ABC Acadie written by Mary Alice Downie and illustrated by Anne LeBlanc.
LeBlanc is an illustrator, an artist and a storyteller from Digby County. She will share how the book came to be, and how she was invited to illustrate it. She will also provide background on the stories and legends that appear throughout the book, and the original paintings for the book will be on display. There will be a draw for a copy of ABC Acadie. Refreshments will be served.
