For over a year, Beer in the Headlights has been entertaining pubs and house parties around the Annapolis Valley with their original tunes and unique, fun versions of old classics. With a sound mixture of southern rock/folk these guys will have you dancing, smiling and clinking your beer glasses together all night long. The band started in 2007 with Justin Wood (guitar & vocals) and Colby Clarke (acoustic rhythm guitar & lead vocals) playing the Wolfville/Kentville scene. The band soon grew to include Ian “Low Notes” Brownstein on the bass guitar, Aaron Lund on lead guitar and the newest addition, Rick Clayton on the drums. Justin brings a country music background and combines this with Colby’s rock and roll, Ian and Aaron’s funk/blues/jazz, and Rick’s surprising twist on every song (original or cover). This cross generational mix of musicians brings a wealth of experience, technique and style to the stage and is sure to entertain any fun loving audience. In recent months, Beer in the Headlights has been moving towards writing new material, with plans to record their first album in time for a 2010 release date.
