Minas Basin Pulp & Power on behalf of FORCE (Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy) invites the public to an update on the Fundy Tidal Energy Demonstration Project.
The proposed project consists of a demonstration facility in the Minas Passage to test underwater turbines to generate electrical power from tidal currents, and will consist of 3 underwater turbine berths, marine to shore power cables, onshore substation and connection to the power grid.
The Forum will provide an update on the Proposed Project and include presentations by engineers and scientists (John Woods, Minas Basin Pulp &Power; Gordon Fader, Atlantic Marine Geological; Patrick Stewart, Envirosphere; and, Russell Dmytriw, AECOM) gathering information on the environment in the Minas Passage, followed by a question and answer session.
