Our second event in the series is devoted to Metal and Jewellery and will feature work by Mike Lemoine and Michelle Heron.

Mike Lemoine, Oblivion Leather Craft

Growing up Michael Lemoine had many opportunities to study in varied fields including the arts and sciences, attending various universities and colleges in Canada and the US, such as Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Dalhousie University and St Mary’s University in the fields of forensic identification, pharmacology, phlebotomy, human anatomy and biology, which he uses as influence in his art work.

Michael’s artwork and jewellery is a mix of all of his experiences and involves the blending of the natural and technological world.

Michelle Heron, Wire Sculpture Artist

Michelle Heron is an emerging wire sculptor. Michelle began wire sculpting fall 2014, and has a sculpture accepted for display at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens.

Always into artistic ventures, Michelle had a successful photo studio in Ontario. One facet of the studio was faerie fantasy portraits. Her gardens were a refuge for nature and a few faeries and the gardens won awards for design. Needing an outlet for art Michelle was inspired by wire artists in the UK and Norway to try and make something unique.
