“Clary enjoys an eclectic career encompassing television, stage, film, radio, recordings and numerous publications. Folklorist Clary Croft opens season two of North Mountain Tapestry’s concert series. The Encyclopaedia of Music in Canada has recognized Clary’s contribution to Maritime folklore studies and his ongoing research into the traditional music of the Maritime provinces. He is well known for his continuing work with the collection of his late mentor, Dr. Helen Creighton. Clary will perform traditional songs from the Creighton collection as well as songs from some of his favourite Maritime songwriters mixed with several of his own originals.
