Workshop / Class Family Friendly Outdoor
patrick.kelly@dal.ca
National Moth Week (http://nationalmothweek.org) is a global citizen science effort to learn about, observe, and document moths in backyards, parks, and neighborhoods. National Moth Week is being held, worldwide, during the last full week of July (18-26). This year the Blomidon Naturalist Society will host its first incarnation of this event led by one Atlantic Canada’s leading invertebrate experts, Jim Edsall. This event will involve a combination of techniques for drawing moths and other nocturnal insects in close for observation and photography (e.g., baiting and sheeting). This event is family friendly and will be a great opportunity to view, and be inspired by, some of the Province’s rich biodiversity that we rarely get to see! Meet at 8:00 p.m. at the Kings County Academy parking lot, corner of Park Street and Gary Pearl Drive, Kentville.
