Doors open at 7pm

Monthly meeting of the club.

Featured speaker is Peter Gillis from the VCLA (Valley Community Learning Association). VCLA provides upgrading services for adults with literacy issues who need to work on their credentials. The program also works with immigrants looking to upgrade their English skills either in the classroom or in one on one situations. The program often uses volunteers in a variety of settings.

The Newcomers’ Club welcomes all residents of Wolfville and surrounding area. You don’t have to be a newcomer to come to the meetings or to join the group: long-time residents are welcome too!

Bring your own small coffee cup and join us for a sweet treat.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month in the Wolfville Farmers’ Market Building and are open to the public. They feature informative speakers on topics of local interest. Members may also participate in interest groups such as gourmet dining, biking and geocaching, to name a few. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about the area and forge a sense of community.
