Going Over is the biography of David Mossman’s father Titus Mossman who served with the 85th Canadian Infantry Battalion (Nova Scotian Highlanders) on the Western Front.
Mossman, who was born in Rose Bay, Lunenburg County, describes the book as “basically, a tribute to him [his father].
The dramatic story underscores the close kinship among soldiers, the tremendous self-sacrifice, the costs and dubious glory of war and the after effects on soldiers, their families and succeeding generations.
