Would You Eat a Rock?
Saturday August 15, 2009  1pm
Most people would answer no but in today's world, if you can't grow it, you have to mine it. We use rocks and minerals every day and don't even realize it - they are in the food we eat, the houses we live in and the cars that we drive. We even brush our teeth with rocks! Come join DNR Geologist Sandra Johnston for an enlightening talk on how our lives are dependant on rocks and find out some interesting facts about different uses for rocks and minerals. For more info contact Kari at 902-584-2332.
