This meeting is for the carergivers, friends and families of those with an eating disorder (ED).
The holidays can be a stressful and difficult time for families supporting a loved one with an ED. As we enter the New Year, why not take the opportunity to reach out and get some support for yourself too. Self-care is very important.
You are not alone. Come and join us... we understand!
We aim to support parents, carers and friends and help them connect with others who are experiencing similar challenges in order to: give and receive support; reduce isolation; share strategies and successes; build coping skills; explore new self-care practices; increase knowledge of eating disorders; increase knowledge of health services and supports specific to EDs; build HOPE!
The meetings are held in the 'Youth Drop In Centre' Room, in the Louis Millet Community Centre, in New Minas, and take place on the third Tuesday of every month.
