Development Plan Partners & Public Meeting
In 2017 we have the unique opportunity to celebrate & commemorate the 125th Anniversary of Electric City. The legacy of the Stehelins and New France 1892-1926 is an illuminating journey of immigration, entrepreneurialism, multiculturalism & survival.
The WWDC is undertaking a New France/Electric City Interpretive Centre Development Plan to be located in Weymouth and potentially reach into New France Park Reserve. In addition to sharing and commemorating the historical and cultural significance of ‘Electric City’, the 125th Anniversary and Interpretive Centre are meant to attract more visitors to Weymouth, increase their length of stay and opportunities to contribute to the economy while engaged in unique and authentic experiences.
What can be done? Who can be involved? How do we make it happen? Come be a part of shaping our 3-Year Development Plan & 125th Anniversary Celebrations!
