Join us at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market on June 4th, 2016 8:30am - 1pm for Fizz, the inaugural culture convergence of brewed and fermented beverages and fizzy fermented foods. Ferments can include beer, wine, cider, and probiotic drinks such as kombucha, kefir and Jun tea as well as kimchi, sauerkraut, sourdough and more. You’ll have an opportunity to try local ferments and culinary delights at the Community Culture Swap located at the Good Food Hub Kitchen. Expert fermenter, Angela Patterson of Angelhoeve Farm, will be available to share knowledge and to answer questions. Be sure to bring your extra scobys, kefir grains and ferment samples to share at the community exchange table.

Ann Huntley of Moon Tide Farm will be at the Good Food Hub Kitchen (10am - 11:30am) sharing information on how to ferment local seasonal vegetables with a variety of brines and spices. Samples of fermented parsnips will be available to try. Ann is a wealth of information on fermenting, so here's your chance to ask an expert!

There will be a member from the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors on site sharing information on the importance of microbiomes in the gut and the impact of fermented foods on our diets.
