Event in Room: Upper Level

We are hosting the launch of Blain Henshaw's book, "All Hands Lost", the sinking of the gypsum freighter Novadoc in March of 1947. She sailed from the gypsum trans-shipment warehouse in Deep Brook and foundered off Portland, Maine, with the loss of 24 crew members. The monument to this tragedy can be found on the Digby waterfront.
There will be a mini-concert of sea songs including "All Hands Lost", followed by a short talk, a reading, and questions and answers. There will then be a book signing by the author.
Refreshments will be provided; all members are asked to bring sandwiches or sweets since we expect extra visitors on this occasion.
